REASONS TO CABLE OR BRACE YOUR TREE

Save Your Tree’s Life

If your tree is structurally unsound, you can use cabling and bracing to keep it upright and alive. Bracing is an excellent solution to keep your tree from failing under its own weight. Be wary of signs that your tree is ready to topple. It may sway easily in the wind, or you may notice that roots are pulling out of the earth.

Guide Your Tree’s Growth

As your tree grows throughout its lifespan, proper cabling and bracing can help to guide its growth. If your tree is liable to grow into power lines, we can aid the tree in shifting away from that danger. If your tree is liable to grow into a structure, we can have it twist out of the way. Be cognizant of trees throughout your property that could turn into a hazard after a few seasons of growth. We can help to shape the limbs of these trees, in order to avoid these hazards.

Aid Your Tree’s Health

Since we can guide your tree with our cabling and bracing, we can aid your tree in living a more fruitful life. Our cabling and bracing can aid your tree’s root structure, or it can move the canopy of your tree towards better lighting. If you find that your tree is colliding with another object (or another tree), and the health of the tree is suffering, we can cable or brace your tree to give it a better shot at a long life.

SIGNS OF A HAZARDOUS TREE

Easy Swaying

While some wavering in the breeze is normal, your trees shouldn’t be swaying all that much. Keep an eye on the trunk of your tree. Your tree’s trunk should remain nearly still, even in heavy wind. If you notice that your tree sways easily in the wind, it’s an indicator that your tree has a poor root structure and it is liable to topple at any moment. We may be able to cable and/or brace your tree in order to allow your roots to grow deep and strong.

Leaning & Exposed Roots

Your tree shouldn’t end up leaning over time, and its roots should never be pulled out of the ground. If you notice a leaning tree, or you note that your tree has exposed roots that have been pulled from the ground, then you’d better brace it, before it turns into a hazard.

Approaching Other Objects

If your tree is feet (or even inches) away from your home, windows, power lines, your driveway, the sidewalk, your deck, or any other valuable or dangerous property or places, then it may prove to be a wise choice to cable or brace your tree to keep it from colliding with nearby objects.

Colliding With Other Trees

Trees often fight with each other for space. If you’ve noticed that two trees on your lot are fighting for space and sunlight, then you can promote both trees’ healths by cabling them away from each other.
